Woman wounded in officer-involved shooting in Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH A lady was wounded in an officer-involved shooting that snarled traffic in downtown Laguna Beach on Sunday mid-day, Feb. 11, authorities said.

The woman was required to a local healthcare facility with undisclosed injuries. Nobody else was reported pain.

Police stated that at 2:40 p.m. a customer reported seeing a women motorist “acting suicidal,” somewhere on Shore Freeway in an automobile called a blue grey Lexus SUV. As policemans were searching for the car, a second call can be found in from one more motorist reporting a female motorist with a weapon on Coast Highway near St. Ann’s Drive in a vehicle that matched the earlier summary.

Officers located the vehicle on the 100 block of St. Ann’& rsquo; s quickly prior to 3 p.m., as well as the shooting took place when they went to call her, stated Jordan Villwock, emergency situation administration organizer for the authorities division.

No other information was offered. The Orange Region District Attorney’s Workplace was on the scene collaborating with Laguna Coastline police to explore the situation.
