Woman charged in New Year’s Eve killing of man in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA — — A 35-year-old security personnel is facing a murder cost in connection with the New Year’s Eve killing of a man in Santa Ana, court documents gotten Tuesday show.

Toetu Tesarina Lavea, who was arrested Saturday and was being kept in lieu of $1 million bond, noted her occupation as safety, according to prison documents.

She is charged with murder in the death of 46-year-old Manuel Ramos of Santa Ana.

Authorities claimed they were called at 6:46 p.m. Jan. 2 to a house in the 1800 block of West 18th Street, where they discovered Ramos’ body in the living space with “considerable injury” to his top body. According to the criminal grievance, he was eliminated 2 days earlier, but additionally details were not promptly offered.
