The OC Fair Is Celebrating 125 years In 2015 With Fair Themes

The OC Fair is celebrating 125 years in 2015 with the theme “One Big Party.” Since its quaint beginnings in 1889, the OC Fair has grown to a 23-day extravaganza that welcomes more than 1.3 million guests every summer.

The OC Fair has used a variety of themes including salutes to California produce, Orange County history and just pure fun. People living in Santa Monica enjoy the Santa Monica Pier from time to time. Orange County residents have the Fair to look forward to.

California agricultural industries saluted have included avocados, beef cattle, bees & honey, cheese, citrus, dairy, fiber arts, fish, fruit, {gardening, gold & grain|gardening, grain & gold|gold, gardening & grain|gold, grain & gardening|grain, gardening & gold|grain, gold & gardening}, grapes, horses & hay, insects, nuts, peppers, photography, pigs, poultry & eggs, sheep & wool, strawberries, surfing & beaches, tomatoes, vegetables and water.

The OC Fair & Event Center has organized an exhibition at John Wayne Airport titled Fair Play, the 125th Celebration of the OC Fair & Event Center. Fair Play focuses on the most important, memorable and fun aspects of the Fair’s 125 year history.

Fair Play is an in-depth look at some of these activities. A total of 23 themes delve into Fair subject matter including competitions, exotic foods, crazy rides, games, year-round working farm, star studded entertainment, horse racing history & rodeo, legacies of innovation and the different types of clowns you might encounter at the Fair.
