Suspected honey oil lab fire in Costa Mesa injures 1

COSTA MESA — — A guy thought of running an illegal butane honey oil extraction laboratory endured moderate burns when his procedure ignited on Thursday, May 11, authorities stated.

The fire started after 9 p.m. at the 2200 block of Avalon Road and was had to the backyard. The fire was produced within 20 mins, Costa Mesa Fire Division Capt. Chris Coates said.
