SAN CLEMENTE — — Remains found in a country hill in San Clemente will be examined Friday morning by forensic anthropologists to figure out if they are that of a human or pet, authorities claimed.
Authorities were dispatched to the location near Avenida Pico and Camino Vera Cruz regarding 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, when a hiker located the remains, Lt. Matthew Stiverson stated.
Orange Area Sheriff’s Department police officers went to the scene, securing the location, Stiverson said. The examination didn’t influence traffic, he claimed.
The forensic anthropologists were being sent out to the scene by the Orange Region coroner’s office.
