Newport Coast home once owned by O.C. ‘Housewife’ Heather Dubrow sells for $18.8 million

A Newport Coast house once owned by “Real Housewife of Orange County” Heather Dubrow and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, is the priciest publicly listed house sale in Orange County so far this year.

The ocean-view, Pelican Crest house sold for $18.8 million on Friday. The asking price was $22 million, down from $26 million when it hit the market in August.

The Dubrows sold the 14,372-square-foot house in December 2012 for $16.45 million.

Set on three-quarters of an acre, the house has seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

Built in 2009, the residence includes a roomy master retreat and a childrens’ wing – three bedroom suites and a rumpus room. A home theater, game room with a bar and an exercise room, plus subterranean parking for six cars are among other amenities.

The house has appeared in episodes of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and was featured in a tour Heather Dubrow gave on the Bravo TV website.

The master bathroom, with its marble flooring and a seating area in front of a fireplace and a flat-screen TV, was a particularly memorable spot.

“Terry and I hang out a lot together in the bathroom,” Heather Dubrow said in the video tour. “I know that might seem strange to some people, but we enjoy sitting in our bathroom, having a glass of wine, talking.”

The couple, with four children, are building a larger house in Newport Coast’s Crystal Cove.

Rex McKown and Marcy Weinstein of Surterre Properties were the listing agents. Meiyan Shi of Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.
