Jewish temple in Irvine vandalized Tuesday night

The temple of the Beth Jacob Parish of Irvine was vandalized in the late hours of Tuesday, October 30, according to Kim Mohr, a speaker for Irvine authorities.

Mohr claimed a passerby discovered graffiti at the synagogue, located at 3900 Michelson Dr., on Wednesday early morning at around 9 a.m. The nature of the graffiti is not recognized currently.

The case falls throughout a week of increased tensions for the Jewish neighborhood nationwide after a mass capturing on Saturday, Oct. 27, in which 11 were eliminated when a shooter assaulted a synagogue in Pittsburgh. It was the deadliest attack to target the Jewish community in USA history.

The president of the Beth Jacob Members will address regional media later on today.
