Cypress defeats Canyon in penalty kicks to earn spot in Division 2 soccer semifinals

CYPRESS – – Time was going out for the Cypress women football team in its CIF-SS Division 2 quarterfinal suit versus Canyon on Friday at Cypress High.

The Centurions were trailing by a goal when Lanell Swain racked up in the 65th minute to earn ball game 1-1. That’& rsquo; s just how it stayed via 80 mins and also two 10-minute overtime periods, requiring the match to be chosen by fine kicks.
