1 dead, 1 wounded in possible gang-related shooting in Anaheim

A 28-year-old man was eliminated as well as an additional guy injured in a feasible gang-related shooting in Anaheim very early Saturday morning, Aug. 15, authorities claimed.

Anaheim police officers reacting to a shots-fired call found the guys on Bellevue Drive just eastern of Citron Road at concerning 12:30 a.m., Sgt. Shane Carringer stated.

Edwin Richard Ramirez-Hernandez of Anaheim was pronounced dead at the scene, Carringer said. A 27-year-old Anaheim male was taken to a medical facility with a non-life-threatening injury.

The circumstances leading up to the gunfire were not quickly known.
